It’s required to keep the proof of purchase for these items, as they will be necessary when placing a claim. Only items deemed essential are eligible for reimbursement.
Claims should be submitted within 21 days from when the missing baggage is received.
This is referred to as “delayed baggage compensation”.
Lost Baggage (You Can Get Compensation)
American Airlines has a period of 21 days to find and return your luggage.
If your delayed baggage has not been located within 21 days, it is officially categorized as lost. At this point, you are entitled to file a claim for compensation with the airline. You could receive up to €1300 compensation.
